We are excited to introduce our esteemed organization led by Dr. Shukan Kanuga, the President for the year 2026. As a significant part of the California Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA), our society comprises a membership of 1492 dedicated professionals.

One of the impactful initiatives of the San Fernando Valley Dental Society is the work of our foundation to deliver crucial oral health services to underserved and low income populations across our community. The SFVDS community encompasses a broad area from the Santa Monica Mountains to the Ventura County line, and from Eagle Rock to the Los Angeles River, including the entirety of the Antelope Valley.

Dr. Laurence Rifkin Biography

Dr. Laurence R. Rifkin, D.D.S. has been in the cosmetic dental industry for over 40 years, building a world-class practice and serving a wide clientele, including celebrities. He served as the president of the the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED) in 2017, is a member of the European and American Academies of Aesthetic Dentistry, and received the Top Cosmetic Dentist Award from the Aesthetic Everything® Beauty Network.

Dr. Rifkin is an accomplished author, lecturer, scientist, and sculptor, using his artistic background to craft smiles that are both healthy and stunning.
