ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr. Aylard began her career in healthcare at age 19 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). This is how she worked her way through college and Dental school. Upon completing dental school, she completed a 1-year general practice residency program in a hospital-based program at Rancho Los Amigo Medical Center in Downey, CA.
She worked in the Los Angeles area for 3 years then moved to Napa, CA where she ran a practice with her husband for 29 years.
The focus of her practice was general and cosmetic dentistry. However, in 2012 she enrolled in UCLA’s ACT program (Advanced Clinical Training) to learn more about and treat patients with TMD & OFP.
She retired from private practice dentistry in September of 2017, relocated to Santa Barbara, but has continued at UCLA as a clinical instructor in the OFP clinic. Dr. Aylard is an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain, and Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain
