Lithium disilicate, feldspathic, and zirconia-based restorations begin with a sound treatment plan and

continue through the various phases of care, including tooth preparation, final impression, provisionalization and finally, cementation. This presentation will include ways to improve communication between the dentist and lab technician and outline various techniques and materials currently available to achieve easy and predictable long-term results in your current practice and dental laboratory for delivering high-end results.

This presentation will explore frequently seen problems that occur during restorative treatment, showcasing a variety of modes of failures. You will learn systematic techniques that can be used to both prevent and remedy these failures. This digitally generated systematic approach will guide the dentist and expedite important decisions, provide unique patient communication options, and improve the predictability of the aesthetic outcome. Dr. Joyce Bassett will also cover communication techniques that offer realistic patient expectations. In this 2-hour video, learn how to avoid failures and resolve aesthetic challenges utilizing digital technology.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Dr. Joyce Bassett practices comprehensive restorative and aesthetic dentistry in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is an Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and President 2015-2016. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry, an Associate member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, a KOIS Clinical Instructor, an AGD Fellow and an active member in the Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. Dr. Bassett served as adjunct faculty, teaching the aesthetic continuum at the Arizona School of Dentistry. She is a member of Catapult Education speaker’s bureau, voted one of the top five female CE educators. Bassett is an international lecturer, published author, and member of the editorial board of several peer-reviewed publications. She is a recipient of the Lucy Hobbs award for Clinical Expertise, the AACD Evy Award for Excellence in Teaching Cosmetic Dentistry Education, the Volunteer Dentist of the Year award for Arizona CASS dental clinic, and she has received the Give Back a Smile volunteer service award twice.

Dr. Miles Cone is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed a three-year Prosthodo
ntic residency program while serving in the United States Army before being honorably discharged as a field grade officer in the rank of Major. In addition to achieving board certification and diplomate status within his specialty, Dr. Cone has also successfully challenged all the requirements necessary to earn his designation as a Certified Dental Technician. Currently, Dr. Cone’s career in civilian life revolves around his dual role as the owner of Nuance Dental Specialists, a private practice dental clinic limited to prosthetic dentistry in the heart of Portland, ME, and his role as Editor in Chief of the American College of Prosthodontists quarterly publication, The Messenger. He is also a member of Catapult Educations speaker’s bureau and evaluates new products for numerous dental manufacturers. When Dr. Cone is not at the chair, in the classroom teaching, or at the lab bench, he can be found lecturing on the international circuit and publishing extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
