The San Fernando Valley Dental Society has a dual mission.
First, to aid the general public. This is accomplished through the dissemination of information as a public service. In addition the dental society can help to assure the safety and well being of the public through Peer Review committees. This is only available to patients that are treated by a dentist who is a member of the Society. The second mission is to provide the member dentists access to the latest information and research in dentistry. The Society aids in the maintenance of active licensure by providing continuing education courses. The Society also serves as a resource to the dentist for any questions or concerns they may have.
A San Fernando Valley Dental Society member dentist is also a member of the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
These organizations aid in up holding the high standard of care we are all accustomed to. Members pledge their support for organized dentistry and the well being of the public. The latest information and concerns related to dentistry is available to all members. Ultimately this continual access to knowledge benefits patients.
